Help Us Create a Safer Tomorrow for Survivors in East Mississippi

Every day, Care Lodge Domestic Violence Shelter provides life-saving services to survivors of domestic abuse and their children. From emergency shelter and safety planning to court advocacy, counseling, and children’s programs, we walk alongside survivors on their journey from crisis to hope.

Domestic violence doesn’t just happen somewhere else — it happens here. In East Mississippi, families face the unthinkable, often in silence. Care Lodge exists to break that silence and offer a lifeline. In 2024 alone, we provided safe shelter to over 199 individuals, answered 942 crisis calls, and delivered 2413 hours of advocacy and support services.

On Giving Day (Sept. 16, 2025), we invite you to join our mission. Your gift — big or small — will directly impact survivors in Lauderdale, Kemper, Clarke, Newton, Leake, Noxubee, Scott, Winston, and Neshoba counties, and communities of the MS Band of Choctaw Indians.

Here’s what your gift can do:

• $25 – Provides a night of safe shelter, warm meals, and toiletries for one survivor entering Care Lodge after escaping abuse.

• $50 – Covers a counseling session for a survivor or child.

• $100 – Funds a week of after-school care, meals, and trauma-informed activities for children living at the shelter.

• $250 – Supports legal advocacy for multiple survivors, including help with protective orders and court preparation.

• $500 – Provides a month of case management, counseling, and safety planning for a family rebuilding their lives after abuse.

Together, we can replace fear with safety, isolation with community, and hopelessness with healing.
