The mission of The Refuge is to provide a Christ-centered community where adults with intellectual, physical, and/or developmental disabilities are recognized for their God-given worth, supported in reaching their fullest potential, and celebrated for the unique gifts and joy they bring to the world.
Through meaningful relationships, Biblical teaching, life and social skills, creative opportunities, and community involvement, we strive to create a place where every Friend is known, valued, loved, and given opportunities to grow and thrive.

When adults with intellectual, physical, and/or developmental disabilities age out of school services, opportunities for continued learning, friendships, community involvement, and meaningful daily activities can become limited.
The Refuge exists to help fill that gap. We provide a Christ-centered place where adults with disabilities can belong, grow, build relationships, develop life and social skills, and be celebrated for who God created them to be.
Because tuition covers only a portion of the true cost of our program, donor support is essential. Your generosity helps us keep The Refuge affordable for families while providing the quality care, experiences, and opportunities our Friends deserve.
Our biggest need is to have the monthly expenses covered where tuition alone is not covering so we can continue to meet the needs of our Friends while keeping an affordable tuition. Monthly expenses average to being $20,000 a month.
