Every survivor deserves a safe place to rest

When survivors of domestic violence arrive at Care Lodge, many come to us exhausted, fearful, and carrying little more than hope for a new beginning. The first thing we can offer them is a bed — a safe place to rest, recover, and begin healing.

Our emergency shelter has 31 beds for survivors and their children. Right now, many of those mattresses are worn and in need of replacement. This Giving Day, we are raising funds to purchase all new mattresses and protective covers to ensure every survivor who comes through our doors has a clean, comfortable, and dignified place to sleep.

Why it matters:

  • A safe bed is often the first step toward restoring health and hope.

  • Mattress protectors will extend the life of this investment, ensuring comfort and cleanliness for years to come.

  • Your gift directly impacts survivors in East Mississippi — women, men, and children who are beginning a new chapter free from violence.

Will you help us replace all 31 beds of safety in our shelter?

Impact Levels

  • $35 – Provides a crib mattress for our smallest survivors.

  • $100 – Purchases a new mattress for a twin bed.

  • $200 – Purchases a new mattress for a double bed.

  • $500 – Fully outfits a family room with new mattresses.
